Description
Market Risk Technology is responsible for providing JP Morgan's Risk Managers with the capability to assess the financial impact of various adverse market scenarios at a firm wide level. This capability covers calculations, scenario analysis, analytics, reporting and other tools and processes required to manage risk. Our team develop the firm's strategic Calculation (e.g. VaR, Stress), Time Series, and Scenario Management platforms for Firmwide Market Risk which integrate with our front-office risk management systems.
As the Lead Technical Program Manager within Market Risk Technology, you will promote the successful delivery of complex technology projects and programs that will help achieve business goals across the firm. You will leverage your deep knowledge of technical principles, practices, and theories to develop innovative solutions while effectively managing resources, budgets, and high-performing teams. Your strong analytical reasoning and adaptability skills will enable you to navigate through ambiguity and change, ensuring that technology initiatives align with business objectives. With advanced communication and stakeholder management abilities, you will foster productive working relationships and influence decision-making to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
Job responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic program plans ensuring alignment with organizational goals and cross-functional collaboration.
Oversee the execution of complex technology projects and programs, proactively mitigating risks and resolving roadblocks.
Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, clients, and cross-functional teams, providing leadership and defining decision-making procedures for optimal outcomes.
Champion continuous improvement by identifying process optimization opportunities, incorporating best practices, and staying abreast of emerging technologies.
Drive the adoption of best practices, security standards, and compliance requirements across all programs.
Lead change management efforts, ensuring smooth transitions and effective communication throughout the program lifecycle.
Mentor and develop program management talent within the team, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
8 years of experience or equivalent expertise in technical program management, leading complex technology projects and programs in a large organization
Extensive experience or equivalent expertise in technical program management, leading complex technology projects and programs in large organizations.
Proven experience managing large-scale programs, with a focus on AI, Project management tools, Data analysis and metrics
Demonstrated proficiency in technical solutions, product knowledge and Investment portfolio governance
Advanced analytical reasoning skills, with the ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving techniques to complex business, technical, and operational challenges.
Proven ability to lead through change, manage dependencies, and control change in high-pressure, dynamic environments.
Advanced expertise in stakeholder management, establishing productive relationships, and driving beneficial outcomes aligned with organizational objectives.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively with executives, engineers, and cross-functional partners.
Experience working with complex projects running on LeSS and SAFe
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Certifications in Agile, Scrum, or AI/ML technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning, PMI-ACP).
